Sshrishti:
Transforming the early steps!
Nitin is a student at an elementary school
Nainital. Nitin’s family depends
on rain-fed agriculture with small scattered
land.
His family members could not ever get an educational
opportunity but somehow they made it a point and managed to enrol Nitin in a
nearby school.
Nitin comes for remedial classes at Sshrishti’s Community
Resource Network (CRN) learning centre. Initially Nitin had difficulty in
interacting with those around him because of his extremely argumentative and
impatient behaviour. He often avoided attending school and was prone to even screaming
in class. His academic performance was low but the teachers of Sshrishti’s
learning centre recognized in him the potential to do well. Teachers started
working on particular areas of improvement including homework, academic
performance and behavioural conduct.
Receiving motivation and encouragement from
the teachers Nitin started focusing upon completing his work regularly. His academic
performance improved vastly. His confusions and difficulties were rectified. He
also displayed keen interest in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and
participated actively and enthusiastically in various class competitions, winning
prizes as well. It has been an evident observation that Nitin has become more
amiable & cooperative with everyone. He is now among the more punctual and
sincere student of Sshrishti’s learning centre.
